BIRTH DOULA PACKAGE

  • On-call for you from Weeks 38-42

  • 2 Prenatal Visits at your home (or virtually)

  • Private, customized Childbirth Education

  • Continuous Labor/Birth Support

  • 1 Postpartum visit at your home to assist with all of the following:

    • breastfeeding/baby feeding

    • newborn care/soothing/sleeping

    • emotional processing of birth

    • physical recovery of new parent(s)

    • nutritional support

    • wellness strategies

POSTPARTUM DOULA PACKAGES

  1. “One Shift Wonder”

    *One 4-hour visit, often when baby and parents are just home from the hospital…this can be INSTRUMENTAL in making sure you and your baby get off to a great start with breastfeeding, infant soothing, and overall health and well-being of all. This is a good option to see what a postpartum visit is all about and/or help you and your baby get and stay on-track.

  2. “The First Four Fabulous(ly Challenging) Weeks”

    *4 weeks of postpartum support

    *3 visits a week, 4 hours at a time…48 total hours

    *Focus on baby thriving, parents learning how to understand baby’s ‘language’, emotional/physical healing, rest, recovery, nourishment

  3. “The First Forty Days” (Typical in MANY countries other than ours)

    *6 weeks of postpartum support

    *3 visits a week, 4 hours at a time..72 total hours

    *Focus on baby thriving, parents learning how to understand baby’s ‘language’, emotional/physical healing, rest, recovery, nourishment

All Daytime Shifts (4-6 hours)

Daytime care offers opportunities for parents to get what they most need each day. This can include: SLEEP!, breastfeeding/baby feeding support, baby soothing strategies, talking through current challenges and brainstorming with doula for solutions, nutritional support and meal preparation, practicing new techniques with their baby(ies), in order to help everyone thrive.

  • Virtual support available: Especially now, there are many benefits to getting virtual support from a doula, such as:

    • Emotional support and encouragement through the difficult transition of bringing a newborn home

    • Breastfeeding/baby feeding assessment & help via FaceTime or Zoom

    • Infant soothing techniques and suggestions related to the multitude of questions that come up for new parents

LACTATION EDUCATOR

3-Hour Class: Private, In-Person, & (often) Prenatally

and/or

Breastfeeding support during Postpartum Care

In-person or virtual help related to all facets of breastfeeding, answering questions such as:

  • Is my baby getting enough milk? How do I know?

  • How do I build my milk supply?

  • How do I breastfeed and create safe sleep habits and environments for my new baby?

  • How much pain/discomfort is normal as my baby and I get used to breastfeeding?

  • If my baby is falling asleep at the breast what do I do?

  • Do I need to supplement with formula?

  • How can I manage pumping and do I need to?

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR

Private Prenatal Sessions included with Birth Doula Package or A La Carte education offered)

Individualized instruction (virtually or in-person) based on your wants and needs:

  • Customized, evidence-based information to help you feel confident and prepared for your baby’s birth, focused on your desires and goals.

  • Access to electronic and in-print birthing resources
