I don't know how to thank you for all your support! I am sooo grateful to have not only had you present and involved in the birth of our first baby, but also to have had you involved in my pregnancy leading up to our 'birth-day'! I truly feel blessed to have had you at my side through all of it! You helped me mentally and emotionally prepare pre-birth, and gave me confidence and tools to endure and ENJOY our loooong labor! You have such a naturally supportive energy and compassionate approach; we were fortunate to have had you as our Doula! THANK YOU! What a tremendous experience!! And ALL so worth it!! Much Love and Gratitude.
There are very few people born for a particular profession. Liz was born to be a Doula. Her compassion, patience, listening skills and calming demeanor helped us fully enjoy this blessed experience. It was, and will always be, our family's Hallmark moment. Thank you, Liz, for giving us peace and memories that will last a lifetime.
Before I even went into labor Liz was very helpful and informative. Not only was she comforting to me about concerns I had, but she did research and gave me articles and suggested books to help me get through delivery as easy as possible. Once my labor started she was so reassuring and supportive. My labor lasted 35 hours and she was there not only for me but for my husband. When I had an emergency C-section she was the one who kept us both calm. We HIGHLY recommend her, and could not have gotten through it without her.
We would like to recommend Liz Gallant to anybody who seeks the support of a doula and especially as a postpartum doula. We are very grateful for her refreshing perspective on parenting and family dynamics, which helped improve the harmony of our home. We especially benefitted from her own expertise as a parent, she was full of techniques and methods to cope with raising multiple children and also with the process of introducing a new baby into the family. She shared many helpful resources, like how to soothe a crying baby. Liz is easy-going yet very professional. All the awesome parenting skills she so kindly shared with us made my recovery 10 times easier. The support Liz provided to us as a postpartum doula surpassed our expectations and we strongly believe that any parent would benefit from her services.
My brother and I were asked to be there for the birth of our little sister's first child. We gladly accepted this role, however, neither of us had any experience in a delivery room and both of us had missed the birthing videos shown in school. Thankfully, Liz was there too. This was compassionate, supportive, knowledgeable, and positive throughout the process. She was able to not only guide my sister through the birthing process, but also my brother and myself. She stayed the whole time (28 hours), missing Halloween with her kiddos and her husband's birthday! She has been a Godsend to our family and we highly recommend her!!!
Liz is an amazing caretaker and human being! We had a traumatic birth experience and hired Liz to help us a few nights a week for the first few months at home. In addition to being amazing with our little guy, she provided incredibly helpful advice (and even informal counseling!) to us as new parents. She's so knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate. I can't imagine how we would have done it without her. We're excited to have Liz in our lives moving forward with a little extra help from time to time.
I didn't imagine I would hire a postpartum doula but after my birth I intuitively knew that I would need nurture and sleep in order to recover and support my milk production. When interviewing doulas, I felt drawn to Liz on our first phone call because of her ability to attune to me, understand my concerns, and reassure me. After seeing her interact with and soothe my baby for the first time, I knew I could implicitly trust her. She is not only comfortable and confident with babies, but she is also an experienced educator, a true listener, and a direct communicator. I learned new techniques for nursing, infant sleep positioning, and maintaining perspective during the sleep-deprived postpartum fog from Liz. I looked forward to the nights Liz came to our house because I knew I would sleep soundly and that my baby would be peaceful under her care. I hope to use Liz as my birth and postpartum doula should I have a second child and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who goes through the magical and sometimes stressful transition to parenthood.
Hiring Liz was the best gift I gave myself and my family. Liz is passionate about being a doula and I'm so grateful to have had her help with my postpartum. I do not have any family in Colorado and knew I needed help after having my first baby. When I first met Liz I knew right away she was a perfect fit to help out our family. She has a wonderful energy, really listens to you, helps in any way, and gives great advice. She even has some holistic approaches for healing which is always a nice alternative. I would highly recommend hiring Liz. You'll thank yourself.

How I Got Here
My name is Liz Gallant and I have been a DONA-certified Birth and Postpartum Doula for the past 6 years. Prior to becoming a doula, I was an educator with added teaching endorsements in Bilingual/ESL, Special Education, Physical Education, and Gifted/Talented Education. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado.
I was introduced to the concept of a doula when pregnant with my first child in 2004. The Hypnobirthing Childbirth Educator I hired at the last minute (!) became my doula, and I credit her with helping me to conquer my fears during that empowering birth of my daughter, Hope. I am forever grateful to her for showing me my strength.
I have always been extremely interested in health, nutrition, and wellness and I weave this into my work as a doula.
My husband and I have four daughters, ages 11-16, and three high-maintenance and lovable dogs. We live in Littleton and stay quite busy with sports of all kinds, reading, baking, and generally trying to appreciate all the good in our lives. This is not always easy, as we all know, but worth the effort!
It is my goal to help women realize the strength they have, through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period- letting go of fears and self-criticism. Children pull at our "heartstrings" every single day, and it's an honor to support families on the challenging and rewarding path called Parenting.
I'd love to hear from you anytime.
